ABOUT
Project Slate is a sound programming collective aiming to enhance environments with a unique musical experience. Our group weaves various genres and curates multiple styles in order to further develop the client’s vision and ensure all guests have an amazing and memorable experience. The goal is to always elevate the atmosphere for everyone in attendance by spending time carefully creating a soundtrack for the overall aesthetic and character of the space.
Since the Spring of 2011, Matthew Rubino has been brought on as the Music Director at Hotel Erwin in Venice Beach to program and manage the DJ talent for the rooftop lounge High during the spring and summer seasons. He is also responsible for curating the music that is programmed into the hotel’s house sound system when DJ’s are not present.
Most recently for the Winter 2013 Show and begging with the Summer 2011 Show, Matthew has been hired for all of the California Gift Shows held twice-a-year at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Matthew has provided, managed and coordinated all of the DJ and Sound Services required in multiple locations over several days. Multiple custom playlists were also created that were played throughout the different areas of the show.
